Florida Chemistry Built for Production Work
Symplex USA researches, develops and manufactures its own automotive and marine chemistry in Orlando, Florida — about half an hour up the road from our Kissimmee counter. The line is built for shops that work in panels per hour: a numbered body shop compound scale so you pick aggression deliberately, Spartan graphene and SiO₂ protection, Silex ceramic coatings, and sizes that run from 100 ml coating bottles and 16 oz pints up to a 5-gallon pail. Auto Care Genius carries all 65 Symplex products and ships from Central Florida.
Shop Symplex by Category
Sixty-five products across eight categories — from the numbered body shop compound range to Silex ceramic coatings, Spartan graphene sealants, Euro foam pads and the interior line.
The Symplex Essentials
Eight products that cover the line end to end — a numbered body shop compound, the refiner that follows it, a graphene spray sealant, a 10H ceramic coating, a SiO₂ foam-cannon wash, a non-acid wheel cleaner, a carnauba wax and the pad that runs the polish. A sensible first order if you're new to the brand.
Body Shop Chemistry, Sold by the Gallon
Most detailing brands are built for the enthusiast first and scale up reluctantly. Symplex runs the other way. The compounds are graded by number — Turbo X1 Cut 7, Piranha X1 Cut 8, Nitro X1 Cut 9 — so a tech picks aggression on purpose instead of by feel, and the range carries straight through refining, glazing and waxing without changing brands halfway.
Around that core sits everything a production shop actually burns through: pH-neutral and SiO₂ washes, a non-acid wheel and tire cleaner, alcohol panel wipes, Spartan graphene and silica sprays, and the Silex ceramic line for installers. Twenty-nine products ship in gallons and fourteen go all the way to a 5-gallon pail.
- ✓ A numbered compound scale — Cut 7, Cut 8, Cut 9 — so aggression is a decision, not a guess
- ✓ Spartan graphene and SiO₂ sprays — spray, spread, buff off, 4+ months per application
- ✓ Silex ceramic coatings from the 9H installer kit up to the 10H Silex Shield Ultra
- ✓ Three carnauba waxes — a category several coating-first brands skip entirely
Which compound clears what — and which ones leave a finish you can coat without a second stage.
The Symplex Cut Scale, Explained
Symplex rates each body shop compound on a ten-point cutting-power scale and puts the number in the product name, so you pick aggression deliberately. Turbo X1 (Cut 7) is rated 7/10 and removes medium grit sanding scratches, often as a one-step. Piranha X1 (Cut 8) is 8/10 and is the one Symplex calls its true one-step correction compound — medium to moderate scratches, corrected and finished in one pass. Nitro X1 (Cut 9) is 9/10 for moderate to heavy scratches, and Symplex tells you to follow it with Micro SHR, which clears the compounding haze, holograms and light swirl marks heavy cutting leaves behind.

All 65 Symplex products carried at Auto Care Genius — 141 variants in total, with the chemicals running from 16 oz pints up to 5-gallon pails.
Sized for Shops, Not Shelves
The size ladder is the part of the Symplex line that shows who it was designed for. A 16 oz pint to test on your own paint, a quart for a mobile setup, a gallon for a busy week, and a 5-gallon pail for the chemicals a shop refills a spray bottle from every day — wash, degreaser, wheel cleaner, tire shine, quick detailer and the Spartan sealants.
Several of them are concentrates as well, so the gallon on the shelf is not the gallon you use. If you're running a shop, start with pints of two or three products, find the ones that fit how you work, then buy those by the pail.
- ✓ 141 variants across 65 products — pint, quart, gallon and 5-gallon pail on the chemicals
- ✓ 29 products available by the gallon; 14 go all the way to a 5-gallon pail
- ✓ Concentrates — Platinum wash, the multi-purpose cleaner, the silica waterless — dilute down from there
- ✓ Buy the pint first, prove it on your own paint, then move up a size
Symplex Pro Tips
The details that separate a shop running the line well from one just buying chemicals.
Panel-wipe before you call it done
Polishing oils hide holograms and micro-marring until the customer parks in the sun. Look See Control is an alcohol-based inspection wipe that strips those oils so you're judging the paint, not the filler. It's ready to use and cheap enough to use liberally — which is the point, because the shops that skip this step are the ones getting cars back.
Shop Look See ControlStart one cut lower than you think
The numbered scale only pays off if you use it that way. Test Turbo X1 (Cut 7) on a section before reaching for Piranha or Nitro — if it clears the defect, you've saved yourself the refining pass that a Cut 9 compound is going to demand afterwards. Every step up the scale costs you time on the back end.
Shop Body Shop CompoundsSpartan covers the cars you will not coat
Spartan Graphene is water-based and goes on fast — two to three mists per panel, spread, then buff off with a microfiber. Symplex rates it at 4+ months with the graphene reinforcement, so a car on a regular maintenance schedule stays protected without ever booking a coating slot for it.
