What is the difference between a wheel cleaner and an iron remover?

A wheel cleaner lifts what is sitting on the surface. An iron remover dissolves what has bonded into it. Iron Wheel Remover reacts chemically with embedded iron particles and turns purple as it works, so the colour change tells you when it is done. Use the cleaner every time and the iron remover when the wheels still feel gritty after cleaning.

Can I use the iron remover on paint?

Yes — Symplex lists it safe on wheels, painted surfaces and glass, which is what makes it a paint decontamination step as well as a wheel product. Running it over the panels before you polish or coat removes embedded fallout that clay alone leaves behind.

Why does my tire shine sling onto the paint?
