Quan AcidX (32 oz) — Heavy-Duty Acid Wheel Cleaner & Brake Dust Remover
Quan AcidX is a highly concentrated acid wheel cleaner engineered with powerful mineral acids to tackle baked-on brake dust, oxidation, iron deposits, and stubborn road grime. It delivers exceptional cleaning and brightening results without excessive scrubbing — making it one of the most effective brake dust removers available for professional detailers and serious enthusiasts looking for a true acid for cleaning wheels.
AcidX is our strongest acid-based cleaner, safe to use on most aluminum, chrome, magnesium, and nonferrous metal wheels when properly diluted. One 32 oz bottle makes up to 7 gallons of ready-to-use solution at standard dilution.
Dilution Guide
- 1:5 (1 part AcidX : 5 parts water) — Heavy oxidation, rust, and salt corrosion removal
- 1:10 (1 part AcidX : 10 parts water) — Brake dust and road grime
Start at 1:10 and step up to 1:5 only for heavily neglected or oxidized wheels.
Directions
- Dilute to the correct ratio in a spray bottle or pump sprayer.
- Spray onto a cool wheel surface — never apply to hot wheels.
- Let it dwell for 30–60 seconds.
- Agitate stubborn spots with a soft-bristle wheel brush.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Do not allow the product to dry on any surface.
Safe Surfaces
Most aluminum wheels, chrome, magnesium, and nonferrous metal wheels when properly diluted.
Do NOT Use On
Glass, polished aluminum, uncoated or anodized wheels, or hot surfaces. Never let the product dry on any surface. For polished aluminum or anodized finishes, use Quan Brown Acid-Free Tire & Wheel Cleaner instead.

Quan Usage Tips
Always Check Your Dilution
Quan concentrates are powerful — using RTU on a task that calls for 10:1 wastes product and can over-saturate surfaces. Keep a dilution chart on your trailer or detail cart.
Never Let Product Dry
On hot surfaces or in direct sun, Quan products can dry before you rinse. Work panel by panel and keep the surface wet during dwell time.
Use Dedicated Microfibers
Cross-contamination is the #1 cause of swirl marks. Designate separate microfibers for each Quan product type — wash, wipe, dry, and never mix them.
