Description
Bring Faded Trim, Bumpers, and Bedliners Back to Life
Ardex PTR Plastic Trim Restorer revives the deep, factory-fresh color of weather-beaten exterior plastics, vinyl, and rubber without dyes, solvents, or silicone. Body shops, dealership recon teams, and detailers reach for PTR when gray, chalky trim threatens an otherwise clean reconditioning job. A patented UV absorber bonds into the surface to lock color in place, while the body-shop-safe chemistry means you can use it in or near the paint booth without worrying about fisheyes or contamination on adjacent panels.
Key features
- Body shop safe and silicone-free — safe around fresh paint
- Patented UV absorber resists fade and sun bleaching
- Restores color to vinyl, rubber, plastic trim, bumpers, and truck bedliners
- Not a dye — won't rub off on clothes or wash away
- Streak-free, even finish with a natural satin look
- Long-lasting durability through repeated wash cycles
How to use
Start with a clean, dry surface and put on latex gloves. Apply a thin, even coat of PTR with a lint-free microfiber towel or foam applicator, then gently buff off any excess before it sets. Let the treated trim cure undisturbed for 10 to 15 minutes. Keep PTR off painted surfaces, and avoid over-application to maintain a uniform finish.

Pro Detailer Tips
Patch Test First
Before applying any new product to a full panel, test on a small hidden area first — especially on older paint, vinyl wraps, or exotic finishes.
Read the SDS Sheet
Every professional detailing product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Review it before first use to understand proper handling, dilution limits, and safety precautions.
Store Properly
Keep products in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Extreme heat or cold can degrade chemistry and shorten shelf life.
