Description
Pro-grade 9H ceramic armor for modern paint
Ardex Tungsten Ceramic is a true 9H professional ceramic coating built for detailers who demand the deepest gloss and the longest-lasting clear-coat protection available. Engineered with modern resin chemistry to bond directly to today's harder automotive paints, Tungsten cures on the surface to form a permanent ceramic shell measured at more than three times the hardness of factory clear coat. The result is a glass-like reflection, hydrophobic water behavior, and multi-year resistance to UV, chemical fallout, and washing-induced micro-marring on dealership inventory and enthusiast vehicles alike.
Key features
- Genuine 9H surface hardness for years of paint defense
- Bonds permanently to the clear coat after full cure
- Over three times stronger than original factory clear
- Mirror-deep gloss with strong hydrophobic self-cleaning
- Formulated specifically for modern OEM paint systems
- Restricted to trained professional applicators
How to use
Decontaminate and fully correct the paint first using the Ardex Correctables compound and polish line — any swirls, holograms, or defects left behind will be sealed under the coating. Wipe the panel with a dedicated prep solvent, then apply Tungsten in small sections using a coating applicator block wrapped in a suede microfiber. Allow the recommended flash time, then level with a clean plush microfiber and protect from moisture during the cure window.

Pro Detailer Tips
Patch Test First
Before applying any new product to a full panel, test on a small hidden area first — especially on older paint, vinyl wraps, or exotic finishes.
Read the SDS Sheet
Every professional detailing product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Review it before first use to understand proper handling, dilution limits, and safety precautions.
Store Properly
Keep products in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Extreme heat or cold can degrade chemistry and shorten shelf life.
