Frequently Asked Questions
What chemicals is the ALK line rated for?
Alkaline (high-pH) products: degreasers, traffic-film removers, alkaline APCs and disinfectants, plus alcohols and ketones. Standard IK Multi sprayers handle neutral chemistry; ALK models exist for the harsh stuff.
Why is my sprayer losing pressure?
Worn pump seals or o-rings are the usual cause — especially with aggressive chemicals. A genuine IK maintenance kit replaces the seals in about ten minutes and costs a fraction of a new sprayer.
Can I leave chemical in the tank?
Best practice is to empty and rinse after each session. For pre-mixed storage, swap the sprayer head for an IK Pro Lid so the pump seals aren't sitting in chemical.

Pro Detailer Tips
Patch Test First
Before applying any new product to a full panel, test on a small hidden area first — especially on older paint, vinyl wraps, or exotic finishes.
Read the SDS Sheet
Every professional detailing product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Review it before first use to understand proper handling, dilution limits, and safety precautions.
Store Properly
Keep products in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Extreme heat or cold can degrade chemistry and shorten shelf life.
