Description
CARPRO IronX Snow Soap 500ml (17oz) is an iron-removing car wash shampoo that folds chemical decontamination into your regular foam cannon routine. It's aimed at owners of coated or well-kept vehicles who would rather prevent iron buildup a little at a time than schedule marathon decon days.
CARPRO IronX Snow Soap: Wash and Decon in One Pass
Every mile deposits brake dust and fallout onto your paint, yet most of us chemically decon far less often than we wash. Snow Soap closes that gap: foam it on and the color-changing formula turns purple wherever embedded iron sits, dissolving contamination while the soap handles the dirt. Paint, clear coat, and wheels are all fair game in a single step.
How to Use Snow Soap
- Load your foam cannon following the label's mixing guidance.
- Foam the entire vehicle, wheels included.
- Look for purple spotting — that's iron contamination reacting in real time.
- Let the foam work, then rinse thoroughly and finish your normal wash.
Where Snow Soap Fits in the Lineup
This is a maintenance tool, not a replacement for deep decon. Heavy, years-old contamination still calls for the dedicated IronX spray, with IronX Paste on the worst wheels. For the washes in between, when you don't need iron removal at all, CARPRO Reset is the everyday pH-neutral shampoo. Snow Soap slots between the two — reach for it every few washes, or whenever the purple starts showing up heavy.
Can Snow Soap replace a dedicated iron remover?
For maintenance, largely yes — regular use keeps embedded iron from accumulating. For a first-time decon on neglected paint, start with the full-strength spray, then let Snow Soap maintain the result.
Do I need a foam cannon to use it?
It's designed for foam cannon application — that's how the formula gets full, even coverage and enough contact time across every panel.
Is it safe on my clear coat and wheels?
Yes — the formula is safe for paint, clear coat, and wheels, which is exactly where iron contamination concentrates.

Pro Detailer Tips
Patch Test First
Before applying any new product to a full panel, test on a small hidden area first — especially on older paint, vinyl wraps, or exotic finishes.
Read the SDS Sheet
Every professional detailing product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Review it before first use to understand proper handling, dilution limits, and safety precautions.
Store Properly
Keep products in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Extreme heat or cold can degrade chemistry and shorten shelf life.
