Description
Ardex Liquid Marine 1000 restores gel-coat shine
Ardex Liquid Marine 1000 (2412) is a liquid marine compound and polish built to cut through oxidation and bring tired gel-coat back to a bright, smooth finish. It's made for boat detailers, marina pros, and owners reconditioning faded fiberglass hulls, decks, and topsides. Use it to remove chalky oxidation and revive depth on weathered marine surfaces.
Key features
- Cuts through oxidation on gel-coat and faded fiberglass finishes
- Liquid formula spreads easily for fast, even coverage
- Removes weathering, dullness, and light surface defects
- Leaves a bright, smooth surface ready for sealing or waxing
- Ideal for hulls, decks, topsides, and other marine finishes
- Professional-grade cut from Ardex Laboratories, trusted since 1950
How to use
Work on a clean, cool surface out of direct sunlight. Shake well, then apply a small amount to a foam or wool compounding pad. Buff with a machine polisher in overlapping passes, working a manageable section at a time until the oxidation clears and the gel-coat brightens. Wipe away residue with a clean microfiber towel and inspect your results. For best protection, follow with an Ardex marine wax or sealant once the surface is corrected.

Pro Detailer Tips
Patch Test First
Before applying any new product to a full panel, test on a small hidden area first — especially on older paint, vinyl wraps, or exotic finishes.
Read the SDS Sheet
Every professional detailing product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Review it before first use to understand proper handling, dilution limits, and safety precautions.
Store Properly
Keep products in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Extreme heat or cold can degrade chemistry and shorten shelf life.
