Description
Green Light Cut Pad for Crisp Correction
The Ardex Green Light Cut Pad is a beveled-edge foam polishing pad engineered for light-cut paint correction on dual-action and rotary buffers. Color-coded green in the Ardex pad system, it bridges the gap between aggressive compounding and final polishing, making it the go-to choice for detailers and body-shop techs who need to remove light swirls and hazing without leveling too much clear coat. Pair it with your favorite Ardex compound or polish for controlled, repeatable results.
Key features
- Light-cut foam designed to remove fine swirls, hazing, and light defects from paint and clear coat
- Color-coded green for instant identification within the Ardex beveled-edge pad lineup
- Beveled edge reduces sling and helps the pad track cleanly across panels and contours
- Ideal mid-step between heavy-cut and final-finish stages for a refined, glossy surface
- Works with both rotary and dual-action machine polishers for production or detail work
- Reusable foam construction that rinses clean and holds up across multiple jobs
- Pairs perfectly with Ardex compounds and polishes such as Smart Cut and Seal-B
How to use
Center the pad on a clean, dry backing plate and confirm it is seated evenly before starting. Apply a few dime-sized drops of your chosen Ardex compound or polish to the pad face, then spread the product across the work area at low speed before increasing to your working speed. Work small 2x2 ft sections with light to moderate pressure, keeping the pad flat and the surface lubricated. Wipe away residue with a clean microfiber towel and inspect the finish, stepping up to a final-finish pad if a higher gloss is needed. Clean the pad with compressed air or a pad brush between sections, and rinse thoroughly after use to extend pad life.

Pro Detailer Tips
Patch Test First
Before applying any new product to a full panel, test on a small hidden area first — especially on older paint, vinyl wraps, or exotic finishes.
Read the SDS Sheet
Every professional detailing product has a Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Review it before first use to understand proper handling, dilution limits, and safety precautions.
Store Properly
Keep products in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Extreme heat or cold can degrade chemistry and shorten shelf life.
