Quick Answer
Gyeon Q² Mohs EVO is the flagship 9H ceramic coating in the Q² lineup — up to 36 months on one layer, 48 on two, with a deep mirror gloss and pH 2–11 chemical resistance. It's a real machine-applied install; if you want genuine ceramic without the prep, CanCoat EVO is the easier alternative.
Gyeon's Q² lineup runs from easy spray coatings up to full professional installs, and Mohs EVO sits at the top. If CanCoat EVO is the wipe-on, buff-off entry to real ceramic, Mohs EVO is the multi-year, 9H flagship you reach for when you want the most durability and gloss Gyeon offers.
What Makes Mohs EVO the Flagship
Mohs EVO is engineered for 9H-rated surface hardness, multi-year durability, and a deep mirror gloss. The EVO formula bonds permanently to your clear coat for elite hydrophobic water beading, self-cleaning behavior, and chemical resistance from pH 2 to 11. Gyeon rates it at up to 36 months on one layer and 48 months on two. A 30ml kit coats one vehicle.

Shop NowHow to Apply Gyeon Mohs EVO
1. Decontaminate. Wash, do an iron decon, and clay so the surface is perfectly clean — a coating locks in whatever is underneath it.
2. Correct and prep. Machine-polish out the swirls you want gone (our ceramic coatings guide covers why), then wipe down with a prep solution to strip polishing oils so the coating can bond.
3. Coat panel by panel. Apply Mohs to the suede applicator and lay it down in a tight cross-hatch on one panel at a time. Let it flash, then level the high spots with a clean plush microfiber before it hazes.
4. Cure. Keep the surface dry while it cures — no water for the first day or so, and hold off washing for about a week so it hardens fully.
Pro Tip
Mohs EVO is a genuine install — work in the shade at a controlled temperature, do one panel at a time, and never let it over-cure before you level it or you'll fight high spots. If that sounds like more than you want to take on, CanCoat EVO gives you real ceramic protection with a far simpler wipe-on, buff-off process.

How long does Gyeon Mohs EVO last?
Gyeon rates it up to 36 months from a single layer and up to 48 months with two layers, depending on prep, wash habits, and conditions.
What is the Mohs EVO cure time?
It flashes and can be leveled within minutes per panel, then keep the surface dry while it hardens — no water for the first day or so, and avoid washing for about a week for a full cure.
Do I have to polish before applying Mohs?
For the best result, yes — correct and prep the paint first. A coating locks in whatever is beneath it, so any swirls left in the paint stay visible under the gloss.
Mohs EVO or CanCoat EVO?
Pick Mohs for maximum durability and gloss if you'll prep and machine-polish. Pick CanCoat for genuine ceramic protection with a simple wipe-on, buff-off install.
